Re: Scandalous???????? Matahari
it was crap - there were so egood Matahari lotions that were discontinued along with it, but this was brutal -
and there is NO way this is still 'good' - years & years old Caltan seemes to discontinue any of it's oil products - all the Butter line is gone now too - there must have been a reason? Matahari has it's own website, something matahari4u - it is on the bottles though

Re: Scandalous???????? Matahari
Matahari Scandalous was discontinued about 3 years ago. I used it frequently 3-4 years ago and loved it. It IS a hot tingle oil, but it's perfectly fine for acrylics, though. I understand that it's probably messy, especially if it's not applied properly. It should be abosorbed fairly well by your skin if rubbed in well. This was an indoor oil. I do think it's similar to JAs, or even to Ultimate's venom.
The difference is, this isn't/wasn't a mineral based oil like nasty, cheap oils from the store. It contains babassu oil which is similar to coconut oil, and comes from the Babassu palm tree kernels. It's very good for the health of your skin and provides a cooling effect on the skin. In addition to babassu oil, it also contains monoi oil - which is coconut oil refined to a cosmetic grade infused with fragrance from various tropical flowers. I would not be concerned about the acrylics, I would however be concerned with the fact that the client is using this product that is VERY old and has been discontinued for a long, long time. For her own health alone, I would suggest that she find a new product to use. |
