What else should I be carrying?

My tanning salon is in an area where very few people purchase tanning lotion for over $35 dollars. I currently have 4 laydowns and a standup.

I currently carry:
Swedish Hemp Crème
A.G. Accelerator
Guilt Trip
Sex Kitten
Yee Haw!
Spring Fling
Glow Girl
Citrus Tini
Vanilla Tini
Raspberry Tini
Princess
Get Bronze
Get Dark
Suddenly Sober
Lula’s Hula Hangout
Kiki’s Coco Hut
Brown Envy
Brown Envy Dark

I will special order anything my distributor carries. They carry SB, AG, CG, DS, Body Chemistry, FS, Tan Incorporated, Cal Tan, Supre, and Synergy.

What else should I be carrying that is under the $40 mark?

alot of times people are not used to paying highier prices on lotions and they don't know the benefits....I have started bring customers aorund by explaining bottle size the quality of moisterizers in a bottle extra....if you sell alot of the tini line try tabu and bikini just as a way to get them to upgrade on their next purchase....tell them how much they get in the bottle (12.5 versus 8.5) the fact that they have triple bronzers etc......I would personally start selling packs f designer skin have them try and if they love it order some bottles to tempt them to buy......Alot of people stick to less price because they believe all lotions do the same unless told different....DONT sell yourself short.

We have the same problem b/c majority of our customers are high school or college students. We found that offering to take the price of a packet off the price of the bottle helps us sell more +$35 lotions. We only allow that deal on lotions over $35.

Some popular lotions under $35 are:

Bananaberry Tini
Amaretto - our best selling under $35 bronzer
Hot Amaretto - our best selling under $40 tingler
Sex Pot - really big with the high school kids
SB Bronzing Creme

I noticed that you sell a lot of accelerators. We carry maybe 4 different accelerators. We do not have many repeat buyers of accelerators. Once you get them to try the bronzers, they will usually stick with them. Just my 2 cents.

I do well with the Synergy line... as far as being less expensive. I encourage people to try a cheaper lotion and then a more expensive... once you drive the Cadillac it is hard to go back to the Chevy is my theory. I give out a lot of samples too...
