We do gift bags with our products in it and print up gift certificates for a free tan and put it in the gift bag. These sell very well and after they use the free session, they have a bunch of product left and end up buying more.

What do you put in the gift bags sunnyday? Because gift bags haven't really taken off here, wondering what to do to boost them

We have a rewards program, year round with double points in October ( our slowest month )
they get 1 point per $ spent..good for buying single sessions, or save them up to buy a month or 200 minutes, etc.. kind of like the tickets at the carnivale or game room..

We sold lotions that were $79 - 100. If they bought these specific lotions they can get 5 Sessions in the level 2 bed for the price of a single session. They bought a specific product they can get 5 sessions in the level 3 bed for a price of a single session. It went over really big. I did that as an introductory to the busy season. A great beginning season.

We do this occasionally... For every $10 you spend on lotion, you get 1 visit in the regular bed. Or you can do 1 visit in the HI bed for every $20 spent. We don't run it all the time though. Just every once in a while when we have a lot of lotion we want to get rid of!

When CT7 first came out, I gave a one free month of tanning, yes..a month, if they bought the ct7 at full price. I sold a buttload $100 bottles of lotion and got them hooked into my salon by getting used to the place in a month and loving their color since they were fresh lamps. Worked out great!! Of coarse we only let them tan a couple times before we pushed upgrading the to the other 4 levels for the rest of the month!

I do both. On my slowiest day, I give out free samples of lotion (good lotion) from a pump into a cup with any purchase or upgrade. That way if they like the lotion, they will consider buying the bottle.
