JA Bottles

Why do the JA bottles explode? When I fill cups for samples, the plug usually shoots out & makes the biggest mess. Had a client in yesterday that told me the plug came out on him while he was putting on JA Bronzer (of all things).

I don't have this problem with any other brands. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I had a lil problem with one of the Mini bottles...

It was the Melon Frappe mini, I went to squeeze it out, and half of the contents exploded out of the bottle...

I watched this in slo-mo, it was hilarious, but also, you get mad, because you can waste such a good product...

I think it has to do with the type of plastic they use...

I know this is different from what you are talking about, but I thought I should tell you this....

has anybody had a problem with the JA mini's???

it could be alot of things is it a flip top, push pull lid?
It could also be from the bottle being over filled or contents too warm

Yes, we have had a problem with the Platinum Zero lids, also the Body Spray nozzles coming apart from the rest of the pump, and I personally had the rubber part separate from the rest of the dropper of a bottle of facial serum, shortly after purchasing it, losing much of what was inside...GRRR!

This also happens with Swedish Beauty bottles. I had a client buy Extreme Dare which is fairly expensive and had half the bottle blow out of the top on her...she was not very happy. Had this occurs with others in this brand as well...I think it's time to perfect this problem.

I asked Frank about it and this was his email to me:

Tara,

We have addressed it with the bottle guy.

Tell people to make sure that if a product isn't coming out easily, to look at the area where the lotion comes out.

Usually if a cap blows off it is because of residue in the plug, they squeeze so hard the pressure makes it pop out it is usually from going from hot area to cool area to hot are etc.

Another bottle problem sorta, I love the look of the Cote d Azur line but... the lotion is so thick that when you get to the bottom it will not pump out. Is there something to help this?

I would suggest that when it is that far down to keep it upside down and take the pump out when ready for use. Kind of like shampoo.

Yeah, we do tell them this but when they carry in their purses and can't keep it upside down it becomes a small problem. Oh well, maybe they will just buy a new one faster
