YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! I hate these lotions, I cringe when I see clients with them, I want to tell them off instead of politely telling them their lotion is crap. GET THE GOOD STUFF AND STOP RUINING MY BEDS.

Thanks.

I had a client bring it in yesterday. She asked if it was okay to use in my beds. I told her okay, but it is NOT a quality product and she shouldn't expect quality results. And why pay good money on tanning visits and not use a good product.
After she tanned she asked me what was she gonna do with it. LOL I just looked at her and asked, "How much you give for that?" she told me 7 or 8 bucks and this is the first time she had used it.

"Okay then, what if I give you that much off on a quality product?" She was dumbfounded. Said she would bring her money in Wed. We will see if I convinced her tomorrow.

Okay I have a question if you don't allow them in your beds than what do you say to your client. They think I just want them to spend $ with us. We offer awide range of taning lotion and sell Emerald Bay that is rather inexpensive. But what line do you actually say to the client. The bottles do say indoor. How do you argue this?

It took me a while to find the line that gets them, but this is working lately (makes them feel guilty, as they should): Each time you use that lotion, someone that tans after you gets cheated. Eventually you will have been in each of my beds, which cheats me too, because I have to scrub and/or replace the acrylic. Final word: I tell them if the stuff was any good, I'd be selling truckloads of it and they will never find it sold in salons.

We also have a lotion cemetery in our lobby with these empty contraband bottles in it. We have a note asking them NOT to use them in our equipment or we will have to raise prices due to a higher maintenance cost. Our long term clients even jump in sometimes and help us with "conversion" of the Eurocrappers.

If you do a lotion "cemetery" or "dump", be sure to empty the bottles. If you don't, the cheapskates will steal them annnnnnd go use it on your bed!

I don't have a big problem with junk lotion in my salons, due to the fact lotion is included in all packages and memberships. To make the point I also cut a 6 inch by 6 inch hunk of clouded acrylic and placed it on the counter in a nice oak base to show what any lotion not approved may do to the acrylic. Right now I don't included lotion with single session. But I am thinking about upping the price a little and including a sample lotion.

I have seen them all here in Victoria. Every grocery store and retail store has them. I have also been seeing something called ocean potion indoor. In fact the lady tanning before me today had a bottle. But she had no color.
