California Tans Director of communications Sabrina Little describes the name this way.

"Matahari, was inspired by the legendary, seductive spy of World War l, epitonizes the archetype of the seductive temptress.
Matahari is also a Malaysian expression meaning "eye of the sun or eye of the day".

We use this quote when introducing the Rolls Royce of tanning products to our guests at the studio.
