How come you all still contuie to carry Ja, and caltan, even though the majority of internet sites sell them but refuse to carry supre even though you all believe they do have some good products?

Dont get mad.... I was just wondering.

JA and CalTan have publically announced that they are making efforts to stop internet diversion. Supre has basically stated (in my own words) that they are going to screw the salon owners any chance they get.

I believe that how deeply a salon owner is affected by this is directly proportional to the area of the country that they live in. Diversion is more rampant in certain areas. To date, I have not seen a major diversion problem with Supre in my area.

Good point although they could be just telling you what they want to hear. I know JA is trying to stop internet diversion so keep up the good work JA!

I definitly would not be carrying a product line that didnt support the salon owners.Even though I am not a owner of a salon (hopefully one day ) I know where you all are comming from.

We dropped JA. We are slowly phasing out some of Caltan lotions... but probably not all. Thankfully most of our tanners aren't "cheap" and don't feel the need to shop for lower prices elsewhere. We also don't charge full suggested retail either. Most of our clients love the salon, enjoy hearing our input as far as lotions and buy what we recommend.

We are thinking about starting to carry Supre because we really don't have a problem with pirates in this area.

Just my opinion.. Don't hound me for this..

Max Recone has stated over and over again he is going to seek out the internet guys and shut them down..
We have seen him do this on several occaisions..
There is alot of internet out there..
A lot of product...
I feel I am going to give him and his company a chance.. They are out for our best interest.. I believe that..
Though I will carry other lines..
and not just be Caltan exclusive any more.. though it still has main view on our shelves.

I truly want to believe they will someday in the near future fix this stuff..
I can't help it.. Caltan is still top shelf..
I have looked and looked.. Like I said it's my opinion.. My store.. my check book..my choice..
I am standing with Caltan..(but i'm always looking. )

Tellin ya like it is..

I think this is a confusing issue for all: salon owners, distributors, manufacturers, and even clients. What is happening is not right and as a team, salon owners need to stand together. However, this is not easy. It's hard to know who to believe and it's even harder to know what to do. Right now I carry the Emerald Bay line in my salon and as it is a big seller for me, I am keeping it and I see some promising things coming from Caltan on a whole. I have to go with products that sell and even though as a team we need to end diversion, it's not going to happen until all sides see it the same way, manufacturers too. People just don't understand the issue and maybe until you step into the shoes of a salon owner, you might never. I put myself in the shoes of a salon client a lot and I wonder what I would do if I was able to get a lotion for much cheaper...I would probably buy it where I could so I do not blame you, I just hope we can all get educated on the issue and figure something out.
