yea it is very thick that's why i haven't used it in awhile with a 5 min getting ready time i dont have enough time to put it on. so i have almost a full bottle (i've used it all about 3 times) i don't think the lotion smells bad after tanning but then it could just be the way my body reacts to it. cus when i smell it, after i tan i smell just like i do b4 i tan... maybe it's cus i don't sweat in the beds??

Meltd, I knew what you meant, I was teasing. As for the amount of sweat, I used a stand-up when I tried it and didn't sweat so it can't be that. I just think different lotions react differently on everyone's skin and CalTan especially, I find a gross "after-tan" smell. I don't find this with many other lotions, maybe a few.

Beach Bum Rum is popular with some! I think it smells great in the bottle but yucky on your skin later. I like the shimmer but I've tried it repeatedly and didn't find the results impressive at all. Also, I was itchy for a couple days after EVER TIME!

I didn't like BBR at all. It takes forever to get it out of the bottle and its so thick it takes awhile to rub it in. I dont mind the gold glitter in it so much but its not preferred. The smell is way to sugary sweet for me. It is strong to me as well and most of cal-tans lotions have an awkward smell to me. A fruity scent is my preference so its just my opinion. And the CT products I have tried do leave somewhat of a after tan smell but not enough to bother me or that after-tan moisturizer can't cover up. And the bottle design makes it impossible to use the entire bottle. After time and time of squeezing this lotion out of its awkward bottle the sides ended up splitting. It is so thick and difficult to get much out at once. The results were not impressive at all. I switched to SB AMARETTO after my experience with BBR and I was much more satisfied. Just my 2 cents.

Did not like this lotion either...way to thick...and like others have mentioned that after-tan smell is horrible..but most CalTan lotions have that after-tan smell and that it is why I do not carry them anymore..customers complained about it too much..said they always smelled like burnt skin when they got home..
