BTW, my professional opinion is that you may have received a bad bottle. I've never had anyone complain of Matahari having an unpleasant scent. When I have someone shopping "scent", I always wish I stocked any of their line, for it would be an easy sell.

insinuating that someone smells because they don't like the smell of a lotion is just plain rude.like i said this is an OPINION topic i was stating MY opinion. and oh yea the 1 900 jenny comment was a bit uncalled for don't u think?

I never bought a bottle i used samples i bought a few samples so i can have a few on hand and they were nasty i've smelled the bottles at my salon cus i thought it might have been a bad batch and nope it was nasty i personally don't like any matahari scent i've tried several of their lotions and i won't waste my money on them. to me they don't smell very good, but this one was by far the worst.

The one that I smelled was in a packet, and I KNOW my scents......it smelled horrible....

and i live in a totally different state with a totally different bottle of DST and I think that it STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN as well. It isn't a specific funky batch, THEY ALL SMELL THAT WAY.

and i have to ask why is it every time someone doesn't like a scent it's blamed on a bad batch.... that seems like alot of bad batches to me then... and if cal tan knew they had produced a bad batch wouldn't they let salon owners know like they did about total immersion?? i read the message boards all the time and that is the only "bad batch" message i have seen. so i am pretty sure the lotion just smells like that... and the girls at my salon are surprised that this lotion does well other places cus they haven't sold much of it at all... cus everyone says it stinks so bad that they don't want to put it on their bodies every time they tan let alone wait a few hours to let the bronzer do it's magic.

I'm not bashing anyone with this. And, I am not claiming that this may have been a bad batch. Let's just say that everyone's sense of smell is different and different people are attracted to different scents.

For example, I love the scent of Hempz and Smoke from Supre. Whereas, Linda Bober thinks they smell like plastic. Do I fight with her over it? No. It's all a matter of personal opinion.

There is absolutely no reason to continue to argue over this. I personally am not a fan of the Matahari line. They have too much of a perfumey scent to me.

I agree with tangirl. Different strokes for different folks. We don't all have to agree on the scent, we can just discuss the scent and give our opinions. I hate the smell of most Swedish Beauty products while I am sure many of you enjoy them. No biggie right? Cool.

SB does stink they have no scent really just an icky plain lotion smell..
and yes u are right in our agreeing to disagree but i think someone telling me i smell because i don't like a lotion is just a bit out of line. and i am still pretty peeed off about that... and that no one has at least said sorry about it cus it WAS very rude. I mean i could understand if i was an obnoxious person but i was just stating my opinion of the whole thing and i was told that i smelled and to call 1900jenny... what kind of people do u have moderating this site... I have forums and groups that I own and moderate and i certainly would never tell someone i had a difference of opinion with that they smell and take it to a childish level.
