Rep Power: 8 Bronze Star will become famous soon enough
Chris... I'd like to know why too! I apply mine before I get to the salon so I don't waste my three minutes the Tmax gives me before the bed starts. By the time I get there... I feel slightly flushed. Not bad, like a tingle... just like I got caught with underwear showing kind of flush.

My customers love the flushed look they get from the Illuminate. I have several people say it reminds them of what they look like after getting sun at the beach. Good over all color but flushed on the cheeks and nose.

Fungirlz- I too switch between the Lustrous and Illuminate. They are both nice products and work very well.

I tried the Illuminate for 3 weeks, flushed was all I got from it it never really settled into a nice shade of golden brown.
Then,I tried the Matahari Luminous and I broke out after the third time iI tanned.(in a 10 day span)I tended to freckle more with these to products. more so then i do with my ususal facial creme. J/A Caraton Creme.
needless to say I am back to my favorite.

I bought a tube in a tanning salon in Indiana, and I just LOVE it so much. It has a great light scent to it, and I have been building up nice color. I wish that caltan can make another option for the Illuminate, another Illuminate with a bronzing agent in it. That would be great!

I don't think that I would want to put a bronzing lotion on my face. It would be too difficult around the eyes, mouth and ears.

MJ - You mentioned that you tried Luminous on your face and it made you break out. Are you referring to the Matahari product in the large teal metallic bottle with a pump? If so, then you may have broken out because Luminous is a firming BODY emulsion that is not meant for the face.

Lustrous, on the other hand, is in a gold metallic tube and is specifically made for the face. My skin is pretty sensitive, too, but I've been using Lustrous with no negative side effects. I use it daily as a moisturizer.

In fact, the last time I tanned, I used SPF 15 on my face, but I still got some light coloring, no doubt from the heat-activated bronzers in Lustrous (which I had applied to my face 12 hours prior to my tanning session).

Meltdbutta - You may want to try Lustrous if you're looking for an occasional alternative to Illuminate. It smells yummy and has a really nice texture to it.

Meltdbutta- Ask the Salon you tan at to get you some info on the Matahari products. I'm not sure why Cal Tan doesn't have info online about the Matahari products? We sell alot of Matahari products in my Salon and I think this is a great line.

Designers Skin has a product called Saving Faces. How do you rate this compared to Illuminate?
