How many different lotions do you carry?

I just counted, and we have 23 different kinds!! I guess I never paid attention to that before because we only carry 3 lines. We sell lots of all of them, but for the second year in a row, Chocalate by John Abate is still our best seller. No matter how many we order, we always sell out!

Do you mean the Chocolate in the Cote d'zure line, or Hot Chocolate by California Tan? Or do I just really not know what I'm talking about? I always like what is going on with lotions in other salons.
BTW, where are you from?

Chocolait Raspberry by John Abate/Cote d azur. The hot one, not the chocolate orange, everyone hated that one. I'm from central Florida.

22 from 7 different lines.(1 line,I only carry 2) Is this enough?Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough to offer.Amy

I carry lots of lotion.As many as I can fit into my purse.oopsie doodle! I mean my handbag.Hehe.Its a real hassle going through those metal dectectors and I have to empty the contents of my purse.Then they see all my lotion and all my private products.Its like my life is on display for the world to see.I feel so cheap and violated.I think im going to go rub some lotion on my skin.It makes me feel better.But sometimes I forget to put the lotion in the basket.

Most big salons i deal with carry 3 brands of loations and the lines of those brands that sell best you should have elite brand
mid brand and some lower end brands. Some owners tell me they dont sell the expinsive brands cause they dont sell. Usualy the reason it doesnt sell is because your not pushing it. NEVER assume someone cant aford a lotion cause if you do you cost yourself money.. most times they can but if you offer a 20 product and give no indication that the 30 dollars and up work better...well would you buy it

A few helpful tips..
It is better to slim your line down to a max of 16-18 different SKU Numbers and a min. of 10 for variety...
less confusion on the customers part and easier to train employees.
