The place I was tanning before I bought my salon gave me a sample of Black Max. The owner said that he just got it in, and it really makes you dark. He gave me a free sample.
Went and applied lotion, just like you wood any other lotion and tanned. It had a great smell. Even after I tanned, it was like putting on a great perfume. When I got out of the bed and looked at myself I couldn't believe how dark I was. I came out of the room and told him give me a bottle of that stuff, it's great. The next morning when I woke up, I went to wash my face, looked in the mirror and almost lost it. My face had big brown streaks, almost clumps. My hands were all brown. It was terrible!!!! My god, it was a bronzer!!!!!! It didn't say anywhere that it was. I called the salon, talked to the owner. He didn't realize either that it was a bronzer. I couldn't believe that they could make a bottle of lotion and not tell you that it was a bronzer. I tried and tried to get it off my face, lemon and salt, everything..... I had to go to work that day, and it was with alot of important people. So I got out kitchen cleanser and start scrubing. That worked... thank god. My face felt like sand paper, but it not streaky any more. The next day I went to the fair & was wearing sandles. Two hours of walking and my feet started to look like I had nylons on with runs. I say shove it....... Anyone else use this? How was your experience? |

I've never used it myself, but I have had one customer ask me if I was going to have it when I opened up. She said that she loved the Black Max and Black Velvet.
When I do finally get this salon opened up I had planned on letting my customers know htat if I don't have a lotion thy want, then I'd get it. This was one that I was going to get especially for her. |

I bought some for the salon just to try since they had it on special (now I know why!). I used it & had no idea it was a bronzer since it doesn't mention that it is & yes what a mess. I'm just glad I didn't put it on my face & have to use the kitchen cleaners! LOL!

Oh that happened to my friend too! Why does this lotion not say it is a bronzer?? That makes me mad. I gave him this lotion to try after I got back from Nashville last year and he was so upset the next day when he was streaky everywhere!! I had to get him a loofah sponge, a hard one, body wash with exfoiliater and scrub all his skin off. GROSS! Hate this product.

Used Black Velvet @ another salon before I opened. The lighting was dim in the room so of course I didnot realize the streaks all over my face & body,I walk out of the room & salon like I was all that w/ this awesome tan. When I got outside in natural light I realized you could play connect the lines all over my body!!! I was so embarrassed! For that reason I donot carry PT.
