sunboard blue filter disk

purchased a sunboard plus a week ago it's a great unit and i trust the guy I bought it from. We used it before we broke it down and moved it to our salon. This is our first HP bed and our customers are very excited to use it. Today I got power hooked to it and ran it for 6 minutes to test it. smelled a burn somewhere so we shut it down. 5 minutes later the first Blue filter disk on the top arm towards the front shattered while the unit was off. I can only assume that the disk was damaged during transport and the heat/cool down caused it to stress and shatter. does anyone know where to get these quickly and what they cost? I called PCTAN and they still haven't returned my call but I have to get this bed online quick before I start to have some ****** off customers. They don't even know what it is but they have to have it lol... I would say testing the HP waters in my area is a success and I haven't even tanned a client in it yet.

Keep calling PC tan til you get someone...unless someone here has extra glass. I have a plus as well and love it!

Ps surprised you didn't tear it all apart and clean all reflectors and filter glasses. Didn't relamp it? Robert on here sells the HP lamps you'll be needing.

awesome thanks for the help! I got ahold of PCTAN and they are overnighting me the filter glass. the bed has new lamps and is immaculate. I bought it from another salon owner who owns 30+ salons. It was a **** of a deal got it for $2200. I ended up figuring out why it broke. during the test run I didnt have the cover on the back in place which caused the airflow to the arms to escape through the back instead of down to the lamps and filter glass. wont make that mistake again. PC tan said that's what did it. My bed tech thinks it might be more than that but we'll have to see. I should have it up again tomorrow. Is it typical for this bed to take 20-60 seconds to turn on after hitting the TMAX? I have the TMAx 3A

There is about a 3-5 second delay with most if not all UWE equipment, but more than that? No. Something else is wrong. Another call into PC tan and talking with Korri should help.

Curious, how much was the blue glass? Haven't broken one...yet...

I am going to test it again today to ensure that all is fine and double check the start delay. My bed tech said it was my timer system and to switch out from the 3A. he recommended the wireless but I know where it was hooked up it wasn't on a wireless and there wasn't a delay

Exactly. Doubt it's the 3a. Mine are traditional 3a's. Again, just call Korri.

turns out there was 2 filter glasses broken along with almost every sensor for the cassettes. now the good deal makes sense but it worked fine before I bought it we used it and had no issues. My bed tech is chasing another filter glass right now hopefully I can get it back up and running
