water makes you feel full resulting in eating less. Your metabolism is controled by a gland in your brian that I will not even begin to try and spell because it would be so bad! Caffine ( and other ingredients in diet pills) speeds up your heartrate which increases your metablism for alittle brief while, which working out & cardo do as well. You can't control your metabolism. Your doctor can check your tyroid and that could be a source of a slower metabolism. Def. a question for a doctor or nutristionist not a tanning question at all, why did you ask here anyway?

If you are a runner and plan to run in a Marathon you may want to read this link about runners drinking too much water .

maybe a question such as this was asked because the title of this particular forum is "Health and Fitness"...hmm, that would make sense to me. Especially seeing as how metabolism would be categorized under the 'health' department...?

i have to agree....health forum..i think they are adjusting the required amount of water down form 8 glasses a day anyway..i dont think it has anything to do with speeding up your metabolism..to do that you need to eat many healthy mini meals a day and do not skip meals..that will slow your metabolism down..good luck

depression
Hi,
Since we are discussing health questions here I need to ask something. I am a BD patient for the last 2 years and had been on several medications and as and when a new drug hits the market, my doctor changes my prescription. Now he tells me to use Paxil. He feels its a good drug but I checked with the stores and its a bit of an expensive drug. Could you please tell me where can i get paxil . thank you. Re: A health question
Shikha, I am not sure what you are meaning when you say BD. Perhaps BDD? (body dysmorphic disorder?)
Any way, paxil is available as a generic. Paroxetine comes in tablet form and, depending on the dose (10mg, 20mg, 30mg or 40mg) you may be able to get your doctor to prescribe a higher dose and take half. For example, if you are on the 20mg dose daily, you can ask your phamacist and maybe your doctor about taking 1/2 the 40 mg dose daily. There is very little difference in the cost of the 40mg and the 20mg tablet. You will almost cut the cost of your medicine in half. Do not trust overseas online pharmacies. There are just too many risks involved. |
