Rule of thumb is to take your body weight and divide it in half and that is the number of ounces you should drink daily. If you drink caffiene then you have to add to that. The first 2 weeks you will spend more time in the bathroom. Then your bladder will re-adjust and you will be fine. Your skin is the largest organ in your body and is the last on the list to get hydrated when you drink water. This is especially bad for tanners. If you can teach your tanners to drink enough water they will tan easier and better. A 2% drop in body water can result in fuzzy thinking, trouble concentrating on a computer screen or printed page, short term memory challenges, slower metabolism and more. It can also contribute to joint and back pain and headaches. Water is important, essential to our bodies. So is fiber but that's another whole subject. Kathe |

If you drink extremely cold water, you will burn more calories as your body has to work to warm up the water to send it through your digestive tract. It is not a significant amount though, like maybe an extra 5 calories per cup or something. Work out if you want to speed up your metabolism.

The muscle stiffens and does not function as well. Warm or room temperature water, juice, or decaf tea will encourage proper digestion. Drink warm or hot liquids with your meal.

I have consulted to my doctor and he prescribed some vitamins. So it’s ok to start taking them now? And why exactly do you have to take special vitamins and such?
