Not to contradict your salon but I wouldn't take my eyewear off for 4-5 minutes each session. If anything I would just reposition your eyewear through out the session. I use wink ease and sunglobes and have no problems.
Good luck.

NO , it is not safe & I wouldn't even consider it. The skin is thin & very delicate in those areas , keep your eyewear on !!!

Wow, that's a problem waiting to happen! They better hope that the regulators don't hear them say that because they could get in a LOT of trouble! You need to wear eye protection throughout your ENTIRE session! I'll take raccoon eyes over blindness anyday!

I know You don't know, but I do know ,as a SmartTan Salon that is certified . The damage may happen now or down the road which could cause night vision loss , dull colors, cataracts , blurred vision and basil cell carinoma. SO DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE !!!!

Telling you it was ok to not wear eye protection was terrible advice!! Your eylids are not thick enough to offer the protection needed.

Listen to all the people that have posted...taking your eyewear off during your tanning session is not safe! Your salon is uninformed about the dangers of not wearing eye protection. Many of the salon owners posting here are very informed and Smart Tan Certified - therefore they are very knowledgable about this topic. Winkease work great, and rarely give you raccoon eyes. Just leave them on throughout your entire session!
