Rep Power: 0 | I have a problem. I hired a personal trainer/manager to help run my fitness center. But all he does is train clients. That means he trains about 25 hrs a week and either finds some reason to leave or does nothing at the gym. I switched him to an hourly rate just to train but I'm worried he wont make enough money to stay. He is a great trainer and I just ran tv commercials highlighting him. Any suggestions? |

Rep Power: 22 | Find yourself another manager. If he is a good CPT keep him on at what he does best. Do a sub- contract with him 60/40 is typical. Work out something where he offers 1 free training session with your new members. You both win that way. You get to offer something for free to new members, He gets contacts for new clients. Another up-side of sub-contracting is he is not your employee you don’t worry about his taxes. Also have him get his own liability Inc. I have found this works best all the way around. |
