I have very tiny round pale white spots on legs and arms. Should I stop tanning while using the sunarrest cream or can I keep tanning? I haven't used this cream yet and haven't tanned in a week and wanted to restart tanning this coming week.

If this condition is tinea versicolor, tanning will not hurt it. The spots are always there it is just that when tanning, the spots do not tan and so appear white. It is very common and may take several months to go away. I am not sure about the product you mentioned. Selsun Blue is often recommended as a treatment as it has anti-fungal properties.
I hope this helps.

People have told me to try Selson Blue Maxium stength. And also Neutrogena T/Gel. With the T/Gel shower at night wash your hair with the T/Gel. After Towel drying apply T/Gel full strength to each spot let it dry & keep on over night. Then shower agin in the morning. Also they said Wipe out by:Body Drench. And on the internet it said to use ZNP bar soap for 2 weeks And apply antifungal cream or spray Which I am trying tonight. Let you know how it works.

Hope this helps

Nope....these spots are probably always going to be a problem every so often. Might disapear for awhile. Then, might come back. Try all of your above like you mentioned. There should be no reason that you can not tan.....

Re: Tan while using cream for sun spots?

ok this is helpful tan info. but have u people seen the reports that suggest that tanning can lead to the development of cancer and that the exposure to the sun should be minimized? well i am somewhat perplexed what to do?
