Soakin' Up The Rays, Inc. sales grew by 25% as compared to first 3 months of 2000.Why would we grow so much, when other companies are down or struggling justmatching last year’s sales total. I think it is the on-line community!The Internet discussion forms have changed the indoor tanning industry forever.This new media allows salon owners to share and gather information on the indoortanning industry like never before. Instead of isolated individuals struggling alone in the wilderness, these boards have allowed use to form a united educated community of salon owners to deal the problems facing all salon owners nationwide.Indoor Tanning Product Diversion, Cannibals, Pro-Manufacturer FDA Rules, Discounting, Product Information, Employee Education, Private Labeling, Lamps, and Software are just some of the topics with constant discussion. I believe the on-linecommunity of tanning salon owners are the leaders of our industry for the future shaping the future relationships between salon owner and their suppliers.I have spent allot of time trying to educate salon owners on the issues concerning indoortanning products and the indoor tanning industry. I believe that education is the reason for my fantastic sales growth this first 3 months of 2001.
