Kind of curious on how well salons that stay open 24 hours do. We have quite a few clients that work unusual hours and wondered if it is worth staying open round the clock.

A couple times a year during special promotions we do stay open 24 hours a day. This weekend for instance when we open on Friday morning, we stay open until Sunday! Great way to get some people in tanning that just happen to drive by and wonder what is going on with all the lights, hot air ballons and "circus" tent. Mike, What kind of special promotions do you offer during your week-end events? Our largest salon has plenty of room to offer something like this. It slows down this time of year and maybe this would be a good idea to bring more traffic in.

This weekend it is our Hot Tub A-Thon, see link below.Hot Tub 2000We offer special prices on packages and lotions during our fundraisers and promotions. Doing something like this, being out of the ordinary, the local news really has fun with this and we get TONS of free press and TV coverage.Doing another "all-nighter" in a few months. Have not figured out all the details on promotion yet. We really have high traffic this weekend, so keep two people on duty, myself and paid volunteer.Hope I answered your questions.
