Rep Power: 0 | there are a number of reasons why, take your pick:Tinea Versicolor - a harmless fungus that lives on the skin's surface that absorbs UV light that would normally penetrate the skin. It can be treated, for example by the Body Drench product Wipe Out, Arrest Sun Spot Remover, etc....Some customers will have white patches that won't tan period - if they've tried everything & nothing helps, chalk it up to geneticsIf the spots are around the shoulder blades, above the buttocks - these could be merely pressure points from the body while they lie in the bed. Suggest the customer to periodically shift their positon in the bed while tanning.Certain medications will blotch or cause uneven pigmentation of the skin - example Birth Control Pills. You'll just have to go over this with the customer. |

Rep Power: 24 | In regards to the Tinea Versicolor, please remember that the source of the problem has to be treated, which is usually the hair/scalp. Selsun Blue used for 2 weeks to shampoo with and wash the spot(s) with will help immensly (if it is indeed Tinea Versicolo) |

Rep Power: 24 | Tinea Versicolor can be spread from infected people and the surfaces or other things like combs they have come in contact with. If someone uses the tanning bed ahead of you and the fungus is not killed when the bed cleaning you can catch it. I prefer booth tanning it eliminates this risk. |

Rep Power: 23 | If you have the fungus you can put your hair scalp and skin on drugs with Selsen Blue or you can use Bionutrient Cleanser and Scalp therapy by NIOXIN. Hair Dressers use barbicide for a reason and this is one of them. Ask your hair dresser how often they change there Barbicide jar. Because if they don't change it daily you are at risk. If they use NIOXIDE by NIOXIN it needs only to be changed every three days. www.nioxin.com |

Rep Power: 23 | Bober, be careful about the Selsun Blue treatment. My best friend tried to treat hers with the Selsun Blue and wound up having a second degree chemical burn to her skin. She was in real bad shape. This treatment will work on some people but not everyone. |
