Hello everyone and thanks for the responses about the "location" question. Another area I am struggling with is salon software. I want a product to keep track of sales, inventory, customers, lots of pricing packages, and be very flexible etc. I have looked at Helios, Suntouch and others. Any suggestions/recommendations?Thanks,Jim

Have you visited the Helios forum? This is what our salon had when we bought it, and so far we are happy with it. Just trying to clean up the incompetency of the previous owner right now. Haven't heard or read great reviews on Suntouch...

HI GOOD LUCK WITH A PROGRAM. DO NOT USE SUNTOUCH WHATEVER YOU DO, I HAD MELT DOWN WITH IT LAST YEAR. I AM USING SALON EXPLORER RIGHT NOW, BUT, ITS BEING CHANGED TO HELIOS SOON.TRY A HELIOS DEMO. AS FAR AS IM TOLD IT DOES ALOT FOR YOU AS FAR AS RUNNING YOUR SALON.

Has anyone translated the Helios Service Agreement into English? Are those annual support fees in US Dollars or are they in Pesos? Because they sound awfully expensive for an imperfect program in dollars.

If you break it down $1 a day for tech support and version upgrades isn't that much. No program anywhere is perfect, look at Microsoft. Helios is by far the best on the market for the tanning industry. Plus, they are working on improvments all the time.

Why is Helios better than SunTouch? I down loaded the SunTouch demo and find it to cover a multitude of tasks. I know the Helios runs around $30.00 a month, what about SunTouch?

Thanks

ST runs about the same per month. I have used SunTouch for 3 years upgrading each year to new version. I have not had any trouble since I upgraded my computer equipment a year ago. I just upgraded to Salon Touch in Nashville but have not installed it yet. If it does as well or better that ST+ I will be happy.
From reading posts, I would say that most programs have their pros and cons. You just have to choose one that will benefit your salon and work with it for awhile. Good Luck.
