Many old timers here, no doubt, remember Alex Royter from the original TanToday and TanFormation days.

20 years ago he took one local Atlanta salon and built a mini-empire in the Atlanta metro with 20 high-end salons. He was a force to reckon with, and I have no doubt he kept many competitors at bay, forced many to close.
