Cryotheraphy

I am looking into adding this service to my salon, Cryotheraphy. What the problem I am having, is finding an Insurance company to insured the unit. My present company that well know in the tanning industry, will not cover this unit, but they will cover my tanning salon. Seem to me that this service will be big soon and if these insurance company's do not jump on board, they will lose lots of business. When I do fine someone to cover the unit, they will want to cover my tanning salon as well, this will force me to drop my existing company. Cryotheraphy check it out this, is the ground floor , like the spray tanning unit Mystic...

Re: Cryotheraphy

The issue with Cryotherapy is high initial cost, city zoning, and delivery/storage of the Liquid Nitrogen, then finding a company to insure a tanning salon with it.
It's no where near as easy as slapping a Sunless/Mystic booth in a store.

Re: Cryotheraphy

I will be going to Dallas, in December, to try one of the cryotheraphy unit, yes cost is a factor as well as making $$$. I am doing my home work, and yes it hard to fine someone to do both under one, but was thinking as to making it another separate, LLC, and see how that work These cryotheraphy, company have the insurance company all ready to go, I have not dealt with any as of yet. Just like the mystic some 15 years ago, all thought spray tanning was going to be a temporary thing and it would not catch on, well that was wrong. so now come along something that been proven and all professional Athlete teams are using with great results. Goggle and see all the proof . There are many hurdle to get over but if all come together, I will be the only one in my area , 35 miles form the nearest one.

Re: Cryotheraphy

I looked at this and it's not really comparable to spray booths. Those give instant and tangible results and go inline with what our clients want. A TAN.
This is a totally different business. It is NOT low maintenance. It has a HIGH learning curve for employees. And as tanning salons, we lack the credibility to sell this well. I'm sure there are a few exceptions. And if you're an owner-operator, you can probably do well since it's YOU that has the client relationships. But if you expect to put this in and have the typical tanning employees to make this rock, you will be disappointed.

True but training and being able to give a better commission is the key as well as being there as an owner will put this new idea to test and I believe I will do well. there are cost , high for sure, but we are talking about lots of money to be made.
