So far they took out Tanning Bed, Total Tan and a Sun Tan City franchise in less then two years. Who else is doing this? Our industry needs to see someone who is bucking the trend. I have been in several Zoom Tans. I even bought a membership at their Venice location. I think Zoom Tan is a very disruptive model and I am glad I don't have one near me. |

I just couldnt resist commenting on the typical closed mindedness of this post. This mindset cripples our industry. Saying Zoom Tan will fail because they only use stand up's like Hollywood Tan is as stupid as saying some other chain will fail because they only use lay downs like Tanning Bed Inc which failed and we bought out of bankruptcy. You obviously know little to nothing about our model. We are so much different then Hollywood Tan. We have had many competitors around us close down. Never once have I or anyone else say they failed because they had all tanning beds. I think its really important we root on anyone in our industry that is trying to plow ahead. Being negative just for the sake of being negative or worse yet for some other nefarious reasons hurt this site and our industry!

I entice clients away from mom and pops that overcharge and shrink our industry. They go belly up because they dont ever improve or change their model in the slightest to keep up with their changing clients. Well run mom and pops dont go out of business. Only poorly run mom and pops go out of business. In fact every large chain in American today started off as a mom and pop salon.
