How slow would 2 x 300W tan and does lower mean safer?

Just a quick question and would be awesome if anyone can help :) ..

I'm looking at home solarium machines. There is one which is 3 x 500 W HPA and another 2 x 300W globes. The lower strength one has other features though and the tanning is only a secondary benefit.

Is 2 x 300W very weak for tanning? I've used stand ups before but not sure how the strengths work. Can anyone comment on how long it would take to get tan and then maintain with a machine this strength?

Then also talking about the risks of tanning. Say for example you need 15 minutes with the stronger machine and then 30 minutes with the weaker machine . Even though longer in time, does the lower strength globes make it safer? Or is that rather irrelevant?

Thanks heaps :)

Wattage does not relate to absolute tanning power. With HP machines such as 500W or 300W it has more to do with the type of filter glass being used. Some filters let more UVB to pass which provides a faster tanning result.
