Sometimes I think the 8,000 owners that are still slugging it out in this business are just too lazy, tired, or hopeless to do anything to help themselves survive and prosper. Smart Tan has made it incredibly easy for every owner to invite our clients to send an email to their representative telling them we want the tax repealed. I have 7,000 active clients in our email list and you can bet I have invited every one of them to jump on this bandwagon. If the average salon has even just 500 clients subscribed to their emails, that's 4,000,000 people to invite across the country. If 5% of them will take the 12 seconds it took to fill out the form and hit 'Submit', that's 200,000 messages going to both Democrats and Republicans in Congress. And if you've been paying attention to this over the past couple of weeks, this bill has bi-partisan support. In other words, there's a real chance of getting the tan tax repealed. Is there any reason for any owner not to do this right now? Has any single factor over the last 5 years hurt your bottom line more than this f...ing tax? Nothing would help my numbers more than a 10% price reduction that costs me nothing but a few keystrokes. |

If 2500 salons get their clients to do this, Congress would hear loud and clear that people do not want the tanning tax. The risk is that it just dies without ever going to a vote because they can go on thinking nobody cares. ASA has made it so easy for people to send the email to their representative. All you have to do is copy and paste this link into your Facebook page or into an email you send your database. http://salsa3.salsalabs.com/o/51037/...tion_KEY=16977 |
