Anyone figure out a way to use different solution for this machine than versa???
I love the unit but have never liked the look of the solution . it always has that orange hint where you can tell its a spray tan .

I think Norvel has a set-up that hooks to them. We never have complaints about a orange color from our Versa. When we bought ours we used a versa that had the Norvel tanks hooked to it and the color was horrible.

Not everyone agrees but I've seen spray tans from versa pro and it looks like hey there's a spray tan . If I can tell it's a spray tan . It's not good color in my opinion.
Also I don't like being held hostage and only ever being able to use solution from 1 place.

I agree with you sort of but there are many variables when it comes to a spray tan did the client prepare properly for the tan, did the salon do a good job in giving a good tan, and is the equipment capable of giving a good tan?

My experience is 90% of my clients don't properly prepare even when they claim to do so. The Versa compensates for this by allowing me to spray PH balancer on them before the bronzer which we require before all tans.

Our salon requires all three (PH balancer, bronze , & moisturizer ) sprays and doesn't gives them the option to purchase these as upgrades. Most clients will not do so. We spray each client like they're a walking advertisement and will not let them go too dark as you describe just because they ask for it.

The Versa Pro machine is great as is and the customer service is the same. Perfect no but nothing is. We have clients that drive 50 miles past all those other spray machines to use the Versa.

I do agree with you in that I hate not having options. I have seen the Versa Spa hooked to Norvel tanks but at this point would never use their solution .

I think we are missing the point? I bought a versa the 1st year it came out. We obviously used the solution that came with it. We started having so many people be speckled when leaving and asking us if they will be like this tomorrow. We called company and they said speckeling is normal and after they shower there will be no speckeling. Which we found true, but I got tired of the questions almost every time from new clients worried about it. So we began trying other solutions and found a great company that is able to custom blend ours and put smells in it for us. We have had great success with our versaspa for years. I was really excited about Versapro until they told me you have to use there solution forever even if your clients prefer another.

I don't believe you would be able to use another solution in the VersaPRO; the system checks for RFID chips in the solution containers, and will not function unless they find them.

That said, Sunless Inc offers three different types of solution options. We've always used the UltraPRO line, and have rarely had complaints. In fact, we frequently have clients switch from custom airbrush to VersaPRO because they like the results better.
