How are YOU approaching busy season this year to make it your best yet?

Aggressive salons try to do something early to "lock in" customers to their salon for the season. If you are slow....your competitor may get there first!

A commonly used promotion to kick things off is a customer appreciation event - often as part of a "free tan" event day/weekend or week!

The kids are back from Christmas break and I'm locking them in with "Tan for a buck a day at the Bay", for $99.99. This is of course is in our base beds; $139.99 in our level 3 beds. I've got a good cash flow going, and February should be even better. Hopefully I can net $30-$40 thousand before I close this summer. Oh' I forgot to mention this is for 100 days.

Training is key --- do your staff really KNOW what you sell - and how to do it??

Not just lotion - but the packages and memberships. Let them know what you want to sell and how to sell it!

Busy season is the most "if you build it, they will come". But you will be MUCH more successful if you have a PLAN of how to MAXIMIZE the opportunity - and then follow it!

Exactly. What you do now will make or break it. Actually you should have already started. If you haven't already implemented your plan you are behind

I've been looking for a good event to get things rolling this season. I'm in a tiny town so not everything will work, but thought the "tan for FREE day" might work. Is that all it is, get them in the door for a free session and hope to sell them a package/lotion?

Definitely want to make it as very PLANNED effort and not a "hope it works" approach.

Don't let your preparation for the next season only be waiting for it to get here. Take what you learned last season and make adjustments that will change the result. Preparation and proper execution will always bring more income.
