Re: UWE Sunboard - Viable Upgrade Option From Ergo 600?

sounds like you're looking for a comparison on the ergo 600 versus adding a sunboard. I have ergo 650's (2) omega's (2) and one sunboard plus. It's taken awhile to get a following on the sunboard plus, which is my favorite. I have them all priced the same.
The omega's get used the most simply because we can start nearly anyone in them full session with virtually no risk of reddening sunburn. Only takes 3-4 sessions to get nice color. Traditional HP is easiest to sell. The 650's are the most aggressive, having to be careful on exposure times to build base tan, they are geared moreso towards darker skin tones and or skin types difficult to tan. They definately lay out some instant gratification color wise if ones skin can safely tolerate the session. A bit of a reddening induced tan. The mirror'd glass allows a bit more UVB thru. Now comes the sunboard plus. Pretty much fits right between the omega's I have and the 650's. On my darker skin tone I can typically handle the 20 minute session regardless of how often using it but most other skin types, it can have a bit of reddening induced color on ones face and or chest it seems. So, it allows some reddening effect thru, less than the 650's, more than the omega's. I call the sunboard the gentle giant. It's open air design allows all heat to rise up and out of it, creating a comfortable tanning session. The color (tan) is a bit delayed...showing more color next day rather than almost instantly from the 650's. It must be explained in detail about the delayed effects or someone would think they didn't get anything right when finished in it. I could add another one actually now, but it took awhile to get a following in it. I've never tanned in a XTT but I assume the tan is more like the effects of the 650's? More aggressive and nearly more reddening induced color?
In your case I think you may be better adding a nicer VHR...facial equipped. Easier sell I think. Although in my set up, I have 3 orbits, which lay out a very nice 12 minute tan, but hardly get used. Seems the users like em simply for the quick in/out time frame. I run my ergos 15 omega's 20 and sunboard plus is 20.

Hey John - thank you as well for responding! What are the pros and cons of the sunboard xtt, vs the old blue ones?
The old Sunboard was a 20 minute HP Session, used a 400W clip in the bench, which wasn't the best match for the 800-1000W lamps in the canopy. Plus it was 20 minutes.

The newer Xtt version uses a 500W Parabolic reflector in the bench, upgraded filter glass all around and is a 15 minute session. Better overall tan in my opinion.

The experience is very unique & most will feel more comfortable in a room with a closed ceiling.

But is it more like the reddening induced color one gets from using the mirror'd glass in ergo's? Much more B kick? What lamps are in the arms? Same push in 1000's but different glass and parabolic?

Why do you say that the 2014 totals are estimated?
