Rep Power: 12 | Attention Small Town Salons (population under 8000) There are a couple ladies in town who offer manual spray tans . I am speaking with one later today about having her come do them at my salon. Do any of you small-town salons offer spray tans ? Manual or machine? How many do you do in a single month? |

I don't think you are in an area with a sufficient customer base to justify purchasing a new unit. Air brush equipment is much cheaper. Subcontracting with a spray technician could be a good arrangement. If you do subcontract with someone be careful they don't "steal" your customers. They could easily spray them somewhere else and keep full revenue. |

If your spray tech is an independent contractor, you have no legal authority to prevent her from doing business elsewhere as well...whether at her home or another salon..she is 'independent', free from any employee -employer relationship they have with you..no legal obligation. If you establish an employee relationship where you pay them a salary, then you have recourse. If they simply spray on a 'as warranted' need, they are free to make a living in any way they please. |

Re: Attention Small Town Salons (population under 8000) Agree with above...get a used Versa. They don't get sick...they don't require appointments, they are fast and the cost of doing business with a booth vs a contractor is a lot more profitable. And Versa booths have no emotions....they just work. | |
