7, I made huge adjustments this year to the entire store, It has been in a rutt for about 3 years and This year we started with new to us beds bought 5 this year, then remodeled, came to date with the ages with Tantrack, and a few other key switches that attribute to this years numbers, Next year is when we find out if the changes were really for the good and if our seasonal tanners return or not, We saw about 5,000 more visits this year than last year.

David, I was curious because many times salon owners who are having increases are in their second or third year when the curve should be in your favor. It is good to know that after 7 years you are seeing the increases. The salon change around is certainly a leading reason, people love to see the change. Good for you.

Rich, interesting point. After how many years in business should our performance be considered credible/stable?

Re: December sales?

That is really hard to say, it is different for everyone. In my case our volume grew steadily, roughly 15-20% per year for the first 5 or 6 years and then steadied off. It is simple math, unless you are adding beds that can produce more revenue as your base grows it gets harder to get the same percentage increases. You reach a point where the revenue growth has to be twice as much in dollars to equal the same percentage.
