Far Infrared Sauna Info

I just got back from the Heartland Tanning Expo down in Blue Springs, MO. Had a wonderful time and realized a lot of other salons are adding an infrared sauna. I purchased from Sunlighten and love it!!! Its a beautiful unit and looks much "dressier" then some of the other ones out there on the market.

My question, is there anyone on here who has one in their salon? I'd love to see how you price your packages. I've heard anywhere from $1 per minute to $20 per 60 minutes. That's a huge range.

Feel free to send me a private message.

These are questions you should have asked before you invested in the sauna.

Re: Far Infrared Sauna Info

Thank you to four people who sent me messages with your prices. Looks like we are all within reasonable range of each other. I had an open house this past weekend and had a excellent response. Lots of advertising got customers in the door. We have a single, 3 pk, 6 pk, unlimited monthly and membership. We sold mostly 3 packs during the open house but have our fingers crossed some of these people love it so much they come back for memberships. As far as my pricing question, I was basing my prices on what some of the spas were charging. It wasn't until I went to the conference and then everyone's messages that I came to realize the spas are way way overpriced. Super excited about the new business our sauna is bring in. Our next purchase will probably be a red light therapy bed but that will have to wait until next year. Thanks again everyone.

When it comes to infrared saunas make sure that the one you are purchasing is made of wood that is non toxic when combined with heat. Plus, make sure it is a snap together and not glue. Glue becomes toxic at temps that are produced from far infrared heat.

Earth,
You might check with the dept. of health in Iowa about red light. I think tanning salons are not allowed to offer it.

Re: Far Infrared Sauna Info

We are adding a sauna soon. I would be interested in knowing what everyone is charging.

Thanks

Re: Far Infrared Sauna Info

After having the Infrared body wraps for few years now the sauna was a great addition. We had the sauna for over a year now. It takes time but the key for us for to send promotions on a regular base and have customer try it. Groupon was a very effective way as well.
Prices are all depended on your area, competition etc. We charge $28 for one visit and with a package the customer can reduce the price for $16 per session.
