Buy an upright prize wheel and have different specials on each landing spots with discounts on upgrades, lotions, packages and memberships and let every tanner spin the wheel and maybe call it Wheel of Fortune Wednesday and market it by email text and social media and run it every Wednesday for a month. Be creative and make tanning at your salon fun. You will find tanners will make purchases that they would not have made. If you are creative this time of year and during the summer months you can substantially increase sales. Remember that doing something will always generate more business than doing nothing. I hear people say it has been a bad year and the problem is that for those salons the numbers probably have been dropping for a number of years. That should tell you that you have to make changes. When I tell you for many salons this has been a great year just like last year and the year before, it is the truth. Why them and not you. They are obviously doing things different than the salons that are declining. Bo you run sales reports all year long to see what is selling and what is not? Identify where changes must be made. Market your salon all year long, changing what and how you market at different times of year. |
