For 3-4 months (prime critical time), getting folks in and out of your rooms is critical (for me). If you have 15-20 people waiting to tan in those months, they may become dissatisfied and not continue with their package. I have a 20 room salon, and we have multiple levels of beds, so if someone is primping in the level 4 room (reapplying make-up, lotion etc.) and I have 4 people waiting for that level 4 bed, I have a problem. Why buy the most expensive package in the store if you have to wait 30 minutes or more to tan every day? Not good customer service. We have a powder room area and a bathroom if needed.

Re: Rooms

I think 10 minutes might be a little much, but I think increasing my time from 3 to 5 minutes isn't going to effect this salon, and cause customers to wait for someone to get out of a room. I only wish this was a problem I could have. I just changed it 5 minutes.

Re: Rooms

Some times you people are afraid to look around the door...............

Very seldom does one use the whole 10 min. normally 5 to 7
Not forceing a customer to break their neck to get innto the bed on time IS customer service.
The extra time is also more cool down time for your bed
Extra time is also more time for you to treat a customer nice, instead of you gotta go
your bed is running.
A little extra wait is also more selling time

Re: Rooms

^^^I completely know what you are saying. You might be the only salon in the nation that gives 10 minutes prep.

You can increase or decrease your time between sessions all you want but You are forgetting that time is a finite item. (Only 24 hours or 1440
minutes in a day).

I give 10 minutes and never have problems...tanning is a relaxing experience...any new person being shown in, always makes a positive comment for us, negative comment about where they used to tan. :)
