I'm looking to purchase a red light therapy bed, possibly a combo tanning and red light therapy bed to add to my salon. I could use some advice on which manufacturer to go with. Thanks for suggestions and help.

Many salons find red light a hard 'sell' in a salon. Mostly because:

1. They struggle to explain the benefits - without highlighting some potential "disadvantages" to tanning AND

2. The result take time to see - and most tanning clients are used to near immediate feedback. Again - a tougher sell.


That said - a tanning with red light combo can be a reasonable option. I have a used Tan America Pacifica that was designed for exactly this.

It has 34 tanning lamps - 160W on the top 100W on the bottom. And then over the face area, it has red light.

Since most tanners are MOST concerned about their faces in terms of showing wrinkles etc - and many do NOT tan their faces for that reason - it is a great unit for that customer who WANTS to tan - but wants to "take it easy" on their face - yet doesn't want to tan while breathing into a suffocating towel blocking their face the whole time!
