Hey Tan Talk, I am looking to get equipment picked up, crated, and delivered back to my salons in Kenosha, WI & Grayslake, IL Particularly from the College Station, TX area. Are there any providers out there that do this without breaking the bank? I have had quotes up for $4,000 to do this which is absolutely obsured Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. - joZe |

Jo I know what bed you're looking to have transported and if I'm correct that bed will have some extra fees Especially because anyone not in the industry will be cautious because of its extraordinary shape and features "to outsiders" lol... Also with the size of this bed it would be the only load on a trailer if it's hot shot so that's about what it will cost to break it down to transport. I run loads in my spare time during offseason just to travel but typically haul livestock. Try USHIP. Did you buy the Velocity? |

Rep Power: 11 | Re: Crate & Freight Services ? yeah But if it is the Velocity you have to worry about the filter glass and sensors. For example I haul all the time and I purchased a Sunboard plus a month ago and transported it myself only had to go about 30 miles. When I got it to my salon it wouldn't turn on. The transport of this unit that was not moved for 5 years caused already worn filter glass to crack and sensors to fail just from the bumps. I can tell you this isn't the case with all beds but this was my experience 2 months ago with my own bed. I dont know what I would've done had it been a customers lol.... And no thank you this time of year I only travel along the seaboard! avid saltwater angler lol... If you need it shipped to Destin Florida let me know haha... uship is the way to go. I wont haul loads from Uship because the other hot shot haulers on there will low ball bids and hauls just because they use Uship to haul a return load close to home so they dont have any dry mileage. It's all profit for them so they will go as low as 0.70 per mile Which is not capable for anyone in a diesel to bid as a primary haul. USHiP is free try it out you dont have to commit to anything |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Crate & Freight Services ? I bought a Sunboard + from a salon in Kenosha and picked it up myself in a "metro van" (Sprinter) from Penske leasing and drove it to Fort Wayne. One day, $400 rental/gas/miles, and I took my time loading it. No packing, just laid in carefully and bungeed down.
