Smile Tanning Software

I am new to this market and trying to get my things together to open my salon, and I looked into the Tan Track software. Is this a good and user friendly software????

Re: Tanning Software

I have used it since day one, and it is one of the better, and easiest to use.

Re: Tanning Software

How much does Tan Track cost? Do they just send you the software?

Re: Tanning Software

If I remember, it cost about $700-$800. They send you the demo disc to try, and then if you purchase, they send you the dongle to make it workable. It's been 10 years, but I think that's the way it worked.

Re: Tanning Software

I use the Tantrack software in my salon we just purchased it in December. We got a great deal on it and it has made the manager and owner life easier by far but as far as operating the beds and getting customers through the door I would recommend having it on 2 different computers. We see about 100-130 customers a day in my salon and tantrack really slows down the process.

When you say Tantrack slows down the process, what do you mean?

Re: Tanning Software

If you have a Tmax timer and it's hooked through your computer and tan track you can only start one bed at a time and if you're working on a sale and 4 customers walk in you have to back out and throw them in a bed then re-do the sale in the system. Not as easy as "Which bed would you like today?" and starting the Tmax.

Re: Tanning Software

Just a side note, pressing F9 key from anywhere in the software will allow you to quickly pull up a customer and send them to a bed. This gives you the ability to multi-task and work more effectively! You can even do this in the middle of a sale and it will not interrupt the sale in progress.
