Swedish Beauty Lotion At Menard's - tanTALK

So now Menard's is selling Charisma by Swedish Beauty. On top of that, they are paying the customer in the form of a rebate to buy the lotion.

They're really stabbing themselves in the foot here....

Note you have to send in a rebate form. Many (I'm not sure the percentage, although I know I've done it myself personally) THINK they will do that and purchase - then forget. That makes it a $62 win for Menard's/New Sunshine.

I'm sure they hope/assume that MOST the country won't know about this and therefore salon owners won't alter their behavior.

Interesting development though....

Is Charisma still a "current" lotion or a brand they've closed out? (I've never used it)

Charisma is a closeout. Hardly a lotion that would generate any excitement. However, selling to big box stores is not a new idea
for the lotion manufacturers.

Speaking of New Sunshine/Menards, do any of the Menards stores have stand alone tanning in their stores? Didn't Menards have a big stake in ETS?

Unfortunately, the customer doesn't care that the lotion is a close out. They only care about saving a buck. Makes me want to boycott Swedish Beauty now...

So your customer is going to go to Menards (Home Improvement Store) to buy a discontinued lotion for $62 to then fill out a rebate form and wait for a rebate check / store credit? Really.........

I'm not saying they all will, but don't forget that a lot of them are the ones that go to Walmart and get Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat then go through great pains to hide them from staff.
