Sportarredo Master Sun pricing?

Just added a Master Sun to the salon. What are your thoughts on pricing this bed? Trying to decide on a single session price ($30?) and an upgrade price for package holders ($15). I know a lot rides on the area of every salon, but just wondering where everyone is at on pricing this unit.

Re: Sportarredo Master Sun pricing?

$25 to $30 is average. Some areas get more, some areas much less.
Run an intro special like 5 for $99 to create some excitement for the new unit. (Limited time only)

Re: Sportarredo Master Sun pricing?

Pricing depends entirely on your market and how you market it. I had the Master Sun in a college town, and I couldn't sell it for $18 a session. Eye candy only is what it was, so I sold it after a year and a half. High pressure is a whole different animal.

Re: Sportarredo Master Sun pricing?

I already have a Velocity and a Sunboard in the salon. Those are currently priced at $20 single and $10 upgrade.

Re: Sportarredo Master Sun pricing?

You price a velocity and sunboard at only $20?? Which sunboard?

Depends on what else you have and your pricing there. Generally speaking, your pricing should "make sense" in terms of the performance differences from other equipment. Also, upgrade pricing should depend on what they are upgrading FROM. If I have a package on the level 1 base bed that cost $50, it shouldn't be the same amount to go up to the best bed as it would be if I was starting from your VHR bed package at $100.

To give an example -- In my salon:

Walk-in prices:

$7 (base bed)
$10 (160/100)
$13 (small VHR)
$16 (big VHR)
$35 (360 HP).

Upgrades are +21, +18, $15, $12 depending on what level they start from.

Just looked at your website. PM me your email to Tantalk or my email at Ann.Wiggins.Noe@gmail.com or call me at 614-783-5518. Bringing in new equipment is a GREAT time to restructure your pricing to get it in line!

It really depends on your overall price structure. Remember that equipment are tools to make your price structure work. There are individual single session prices for each piece of equipment, however different priced systems can and should be a part of a specific tanning level. By doing it this way it adds value to becoming a member of a level as opposed to session packages. It is all an important part of having an effective price structure.

A proper structured pricing is also designed so you can run effective promotions.

In comparison to your existing pricing, it should be priced at $25 and upgrade surcharge of $12.50 to $15 in comparison to your existing $10 for the velocity and sunboard.

Do you have it up and running? If so, I'd love to come over and try it! :)

A mastersun is really missing from my line up.

Ps. Your salon looks really nice, especially for houghton lake :)

Not running yet. It's in the room, but won't be wired for a few weeks. Where are you located?
