They are not exiting, they have been purchased by a larger insurance company and
are operating as usual. I just renewed my policy.

Not true. I received an official email yesterday saying that they ARE exiting the Indoor Tanning business:

Tan Pro Program News THOMCO has always aimed to be a market leader in the Tanning industry. However, after recent evaluations, we have decided to exit the industry and discontinue our Tan Pro program.

No new business quotes will be accepted effectively immediately. All active policies will remain in effect until your expiration date at which time you will be receiving a non-renewal notice in the mail. Thomco is officially out of the tanning industry. Our customers are telling us that they are sending out an email and are referring their customers to a couple of the brokers that went through them previously. If you want to cut out the middle man, you can come directly to us for a quote :)

That said, make sure you are getting a true tanning policy with no cancer exclusion, no UV restrictions and on an occurrence form. That is difficult to get in todays insurance climate.
