Re: Best way to advertise a slow traffic salon...?

It is not only where you advertise it is what and when you advertise. You can not maximize income potential depending on walk in and referral business. You must advertise properly to build a client base and advertise with email, text and social media to keep that client base active. Weekly advertising is a must. the right message in each type of advertising is also important.

Re: Best way to advertise a slow traffic salon...?

I think I may have implemented some miscommunication about our business.. we do have an awesome solid client base- not only those who belong to the gym, but also TANNING mbrship purchasers as well. since posting the thread I've begun to construct our twitter and Facebook

This is a gym offering tanning?

Surprised you are getting 'advice'. You are the 'enemy'. Gyms offering tanning are frowned upon. I hope none of your competitors (self-sustaining tan salon owners) are here. They may just be able to really help you.

Re: Best way to advertise a slow traffic salon...?

well.. I just figured people would be willing to share similar experiences or advice (which so far many have been kind enough to do so)- if you're judging my "worth" as a salon just because we happen to operate within a gym, then I feel bad for how shallow you are. I would make much less and sacrifice the influence that I would have in the business, just to work for a popular name, if I had been hired to a strictly-tanning salon in my city... sorry to bother you:/
