Rep Power: 14 | Re: I WOULD TAX ALL TANNING SALONS MORE Not to get into a ******* war with you, not my intent. However, allow me one comment that interest me on something you say. You mention, if I have this right, you receive the same tan today from a $2500/5000 bed as you did 20 year ago from a 28 lamp bed after tanning for 7-10 days. Is that correct? Well, it could be because each and everyone of us is made up differently. We all have a 'plateau' or limitation as far as the (natural) tanning process of the human skin. How dark you tan does not reflect on how many times you tan or what you are using to tan, whether indoor or outdoor. Once you reach that plateau, you are finished..you just won't get any darker, unless you spray paint yourself. So, in a nutshell, your skin-type determines how dark you get, not the bed, not the amount of times.... So, it may just be, based on your skin type, you can only get so dark. This is not to say, an HP bed gives the same tan as a 32 lamper, it just gets you to your plateau quicker. I have to assume, you are not a salon owner, but I hope you take this as a learning curve, and feel welcome to come back when you need another explanation. |
