It seems that our horrible month of May seems to be carrying over to June so far, i was wondering if anyone else is having some rough busy months????

My May has never been a really good month. It is the transition month into summer. Your question of rough "busy" months??? Yes, my normal good months have gotten worse. Summers could be a whole lot worse, but starting in June, The summer tanning crowd start to tan. These customers don't tan in our good months. This is the month I start my "summer special" of 3 months unlimited tanning for a big discount. This gets them locked in til September, and then the college kids are back with summer money in their pockets. C'mon September!

What is the population in your town? Our town is about 3700, so wondering your packaging pricing for three months?

My town has a pop. of approx. 18,000 w/o the college students. I'm running a 3 month in any bed for $120. Today will be my first negative profit day of the year. My sales were $45 gross as I left @ 3:00, and my payroll for the remainder of the day will be $45. Who knows, We could have sales of $500 in the next 5 hours, but this is my worse day of 2012. July and August will have a few 0 sales days, but the doors remain open, looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Understand, knowing that tanning is never a given on any day. We have one month packages but I just went down to the two week pkgs. They are a little more pricey but seems to appeal to those during the season and not wasting money on a one month.....hmm I am actually curious how this seasons weather will pan out for all of us. I know how much clients like tanning for 12 or 20 vs. sitting outdoors but the last two years had some pretty unbearable hot days. Makes you wonder if we should take time as ice cream shops do b/c of seasonal weather....
