Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

I have a higher voltage it's running at 245v-247v and the bulbs is BRILLLANT160W.What is your opinion on this brand? And what do you think on the extra kick on the high voltage?

Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

Is it Brilliant or Brilliance? Got a 4 digit part number?

What bed? Voltage is too high for any unit, should be between 230-240V.

Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

it is Brilliance 160w-200w ( 1977 ) got it from URI,actually all my bulbs came from URI, it is installed on HT-60's. I also have ht-54 booths, heartland bed, solux 40.3 bed and sunscape booth. I know I have a high voltage situation but I don't know the long term affect on the bulb and parts on the machines. I was told by my supplier I rather have a little extra kick than too little so I did not put in the buck booster. thanks

Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

Voltage is too high. You need to drop it by 12Volts.

Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

Your units will be running to hot so there will be issues.

Re: Electronic Starter or standard S12??

I've been running 3 phase delta with 240-245 voltage for the last 7 years. I've never had any issues with my equipment and my beds give the best tan in Wisconsin. I did install electronic starters, and they suck. I have a lot of failures, and when this happens, I put the S12s back in. Sun Capsule recommends you run your standup at higher then 240V. When I purchased my Soltron and Ergo beds, I asked the technical experts if the high voltage would damage anything, and they said no problem, other than maybe going through the lamps quicker. This hasn't happened either.
