when do I meter the new lamps?

I just new lamps my booth it's a suncapsule, I once read in tantalk that I should wait for the new lamps to be burned in 50hr before I should meter the new lamps, is that true? should I meter each panel? or should I meter in the center? the new lamp is 160W 8min booth and it's at 20hr right now. my meter 5.0 read 42-45 @ 10inch from panel, and 7.0 read 23-25 @ 10inch from pane. Okay, I got no ideals what those numbers means especial the 7.0 meter.
any advice is better than no advice.thanks

Re: when do I meter the new lamps?

That's good, usually take 1st reading at about 20-30 hours.
5.0 reading is just for showing the UV depreciation. So if it is 43 now, when it 30-32 it is time to change the lamps, that is a 25% depreciation.

The 7.0 meter is showing about a 10 minute maximum session time for that unit.

Re: when do I meter the new lamps?

Excellent advise above. Make sure you use same positioning for each reading set. Also remember take it with a grain as you need to use customer feedback, total hours and meter readings in concert to make decisions. No one method is foolproof.
