Rep Power: 0 | Chatty clients... Anyone else have this problem? While I love ALL of our clients, We have a few that like to chat away, even if they see you with piles of paperwork to get done. Its hard to get tax reports done and submitted or work on projects when "chatty clients" come in to talk for 30+minutes before they decide it's time to tan. (Usually, I work the morning shifts and try to juggle what I can when im here) How do you deal with this if you ever encounter these situations? LOL...

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Chatty clients... Haha - definitely have a few of these! On SLOW days, it can be nice to see them - can make the time pass quickly! If you are really stacked up with stuff, just let them know - "hey, I really enjoying chatting with you but unfortunately today I am just buried with stuff I should have gotten done already and so I'm trying to sneak it in between customers - I hope you understand if I just send you to your room" ~BIGwarmsmile~ Usually that works. But then, on a future time - you have to give them a listen :-) |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Chatty clients... i have chatty clients as well...but common denominator is....seems they all spend loads of money and they just appreciate the little chat each visit...seems reasonable to me. how many clients can we assume they send us for being so kind? when i have a project...i try and wait til we are closed so i don;t getthe interuptions....whether it be employee's, phone calls and even clients. speaking of....sunday i was doing repairs and relamping...and a good client came up to the door.....and i let him in...we just talked for like 30 minutes....even though he knew we were closed. he saw my truck and though he'd stop and say hello. he tans with us, his wife does....and daughter too...let alone all the clients they all have sent us over the years. all this for a little "chat time".... sure it slowed down my time doing repairs...but it was a nice break for me too :) |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Chatty clients... Most my chatty clients when I had the tanning salon were my cheapo's (ie eft tanners that didnt buy lotion). I started putting them to work when they came in. I would have them empty trash cans when we chatted, hand me towels as i cleaned the tanning bed...stuff like that. None seemed to mind, they were just happy to keep chatting. |
