I have heard many reasons for sales over the years and was curious to see what others have heard. I am not bashing anyone, as we all have our reasons for moving on or selling. I am just curious to see reasons in general. I know some of us have been business brokers, commercial real estate agents and lawyers, and have had to help clients come up with reasons for sales, some true, some stretched.

Usually hear of the normal *want more family time, * moving out of state, *having a baby, *misc. health issues. I have only run across 1 that was actually pretty honest and stated that they went into the industry not knowing anything about it and thought that it would be easy money.

I'm getting out because I inherited quite a bit of money when my father died in August and my Edward Jones guy said "So why are you still working?", I replied, "Because I feel a responsibility to my customers.", He replied "Then you need to get past that outdated mentality. They have no loyalty or responsibility to keep you in business." (Note that I had told him my sales figures had been declining for the past 7-8 years.) So yeah, they haven't been helping me succeed either. So yeah, I'll either find a buyer or close up shop early next summer.
