Constant Contact-Emails I didn't send? - tanTALK

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this that has or is using Constant contact - I was once a member and cancelled in June 2010 this is the ONLY email marketing provider I have ever used- and in the last month I have received 3 emails from MY tanning salon to my email inbox - Saying its from MY salon- just like it did when I would send emails to clients with constantcontact- this latest email had a catchy subject - that said "Chill with a refreshing, soothing treatment" and so I clicked the email open and it has 2 attachments, which of course I did not click on - I am the only one who could have sent them and I didn't!!! So I called Constantcontact.com on Friday to see if they could help me solve this mystery- and they had me forwarded it to them...haven't heard back yet about it..The thing is it does not say constantcontact anywhere that I can see- again I didn't open the attachment for fear of a virus- but, it looks just like an email that I would have sent from constantcontact- I am very worried that somehow my email list stored with them got sold or got hacked and my customers are receiving this as well- and could potientally get a virus- then its all on me :( Anyone else have ideas on this or experience anything similiar? Thanks

Probably a vendor you gave your name to at a tanning show. Or through a disty you use for lotions or lamps. Or just just researched your website address then were able to set it up as a "to from" using the salon name. Maybe using Constant Contact - but probably coincidental.

yes is very true didn't think of that- they could have gotten from our website- hope that is far as it goes!

You have a worm/virus...the email is probably being sent to everyone else as well...if you were to open the attachments, you'd be affected more so...

You may have to do a complete virus removal done..This happened to me, on my personal account...every body in my address book constantly received erroneous emails from me with attachments. When opened, the cycle continues...I had many peeved off people... I had to delete everyone from my address book as well.
