new employee needing help

Hi everyone,

I was recently highered at a tanning salon and I love my job and I hope one day of opening my own salon. Unfortunately I have messed several times and I'm worried about being fired. I was trained with someone. A few times then set out on my own. First thing I did was burnt someone and this was during my training and i don't remember putting the girl in for max time and I have a feeling it was the other girl training me and she has burnt another girl since then . Second thing I did was that I wasn't cleaning the beds well enough so from now on I take am extra glance to make sure they're okay. Third incident was that I accidentally opened a calendar and clicked on a different date then it was that day and the entire system set its self to that date and everyones packages said expired but luckily we still add proof of purchase and date so we can look back and still give the tanner their deal. Fourth thing was that I put the debit paper in backwards so when I hit end of business day nothing was printed .. So what are we at now ? Five? And this time I somehow got forty extra dollars in the till at the end of the day yesterday :( I can't get this off my mind I feel horrible for my mistakes I have told my boss that and I can only hope I don't lose my job . Other than that I am hard worker constantly cleaning while its slow and trying to the best of my abilities, so would you fire me?

You did not say how long you have been working. And you definetly were not trained long enough.
Just keep trying.
When your cleaning a room after a customer be sure you clean every thing, Not just the bed.
Besides just cleaning the acrylics, You need to clean every thing a customer might touch. Including door knobs.

Thanks :) I will make sure I do that, I have been working for about a month now, and have had around ten shifts including training.

10 shifts in a month........... That should have beeen ALL training. Must not be a very busy salon.
I've got 12 employee's and they all beg for time off.

How many tanners a day ?

You would be swiss cheese in one of my stores, 200+ per day in season.

Somtimes , Somtimes not. We have 27 units. And people coming in at different times require different type of service.

People hanging in the parking lot at 8am are in a hurry, But our number of beds is enough to handle them.

People that wander in between 9am and 11am are not normally in that big of a hurry, Thus 1 person can handle them. Luch time people are again in a hurry, But
then our number of beds can handle them. People coming in between 1pm and 3pm are again wanders, and again not in a hurry.

From 3:30 pm thru 7pm its jamed in season = 2-3 people working.

Of coures all this can vary with location and type if salon.
